funny my leather wheel has the same "imperfection" not at the right location of course...maybe it isn't a blemish after all.

Great price, hope they sell quick. I love mine.

For you guys with pre 2009 Porsche's Instructions ... When I did mine, I just slid the module up and out , vs taking the entire unit off. You still have to do 80% of the part removal.

If you are up near Ohio anytime soon and want to install it in my 2008, I'll buy it.

Sorry ... No future plans to travel there.

The pre 2009 require a little more work, but maybe 30 additional minutes. You can slide the module up & out instead of removing everything.

I hate dealing with small electronics , and I found it simple. The hard part is keeping track of the tiny screws.

The average independent charges $150 install on pre2009 plus programming. If you find a used module, you don't have to program.

Question for OP - at the 12 o'clock position is there like a strip similar on the leather wheel, curious if it can be custom for a color.

Yes, there is a strip there. Based on what I read, you should not try to dye/paint alcantera.

If you google it, you will get a lot of comments around it.
