I'm selling a 997 Gauge cluster with OEM black faced gauges. I bought it as a spare so I could continue using my car while I sent my cluster to RUF for their conversion, but decided the cost/benefit wasn't there.

There are a few marks in the silver paint on the sides, but if yours is better in this area, you can also remove the front section that has the plastic over the gauge faces and bezels from your current cluster and install it on this one instead, moving this one to your current one. I've also seen other plasti-dip the bezels in different colors to make their interiors more unique, which would also cover the marks in the silver paint.

I never installed it in my car (actually unwrapped it for the first time today), but bought it from a reputable seller, and I will guarantee it works once powered up. If there are any problems with it you can return it to me (you pay return shipping) for a refund. I think you might have to have a dealer install and code it so that it preserves the original mileage of the vehicle, but am not sure about that.

Larger, higher resolution pictures are available if you email me at petza914@gmail.com.

Does the dealer need to code it to the new car once installed?

How does it install etc?

Yes, I believe it has to be installed or coded by a dealer in order to preserve the current mileage on the car or they have to certify the mileage from the current cluster and the mileage in the new cluster in order to keep that intact from a DMV perspective.

I've never swapped a cluster so don't have definitive answers for you on this. Best bet is probably to call your dealer and ask them the questions.

I don't think the install is complicated - seems like I saw a DIY on one somewhere. I think they removed the small trim piece above the steering column which exposed the mounting screws, and upon removing those and pulling out the cluster, you just needed to unplug it. But again, having not done this myself, you should do a little research.
