I have a brand new, and I think fairly rare, Manual Airbag Deactivation Kit for 987 and 997 cars. This kit included a new black side panel for the dashboard (visible when the door is opened) that allows the manual on/off switch to be installed and wired to deactivate the passenger side airbag. The manual switch is not individually keyed to the car and any of the Porsche keys will fit into the slot to turn the switch.

The purpose is for Porsche owners who want to safely have their children ride in the front seat without risk of an airbag injury or for someone that needs to have a rear facing car seat installed, that will only fit in the front seat. It also includes the LATCH mounting bar for the passenger seat as part of the kit.

I bought this when we got my wife her 997.1 but we never installed it as the kids were out of rear facing car seats at the time, and just rode in the back seat. Now that my daughter is old enough and tall enough to not fit well in the back, she can safely ride in the front, so I don't have a need for this any longer and thought maybe a new 911, Boxster, or Cayman owner with young kids might be able to use it.

Comes with the installation instructions that were printed out for me by the dealer where I purchased it. Does not include the little center console mounted light that shows the airbag on or off message as I didn't want to punch the hole in my console to mount it and can't seem to locate it. Price includes shipping and assumes PayPal Friends & Family payment - regular PayPal is fine too, but add 4%.
