These pipes are designed for cars without PSE correct? Or did your car have PSE using this setup?

My car was PSE equipped, but side mufflers is the same for PSE or non-PSE and since this is direct replacement for side mufflers I don't see why it wouldn't work for either.

Awesome, my 991 is as well. You're the best the ask then...was there any noticeable difference between having valves open vs. closed (PSE on vs. off)? I ask because with the valves closed, usually the mufflers would quite the exhaust note but if the mufflers have been replaced with straight pipes, would it then make PSE useless (i.e. no noticeable difference between valves open/closed)?

Yes still a difference between valves closed and open, with valves open it definitely screams louder. It basically makes both modes louder

 

Any chance you have a video clip of exhaust note with PSE on and off? I only ask because all the videos I've found on Youtube only feature the pipes with PSE on.

Its off the car and I don't have any video clips saved. But there is a difference between open and closed valves. you push PSE and it becomes louder deeper growl with more pronounced cracks and pops when you take foot off the gas.
