Does this model utilize the stock plastic part on the shift boot or does it require the leather boot to be cut and uses "o-rings" to attached boot to shift ****?

Ill take a look when I get home and take another pic of the underside for you. As far as I know there was no/is no cutting at all. The black plastic oem piece is still there holding the shift **** to the boot. Although the black plastic piece is not required to "twist/click" to lock it in (like when you remove the oem shift ****). In the picture, you can see two small screws that screw the **** to the exact hole points on the shift handle. Very easy to install, takes 5-10 min.
