For sale 997.1 MOST HUR fiber optic adapter, 997 aftermarket radio face plate install kit and Parrot Asteroid Smart head unit.

I used it on my old 2006 C4 for a little over a year and it's been sitting on the shelve for couple years since.
Although it is currently integrated with this particular head unit, all wires are labeled if you want to connect to something else.
The head unit is Android based. So some good flexibility when customizing. Reason i liked this unit is because unlike most Chinese knockoffs, it has ability to automatically use internet connection through Bluetooth from your phone. So Google maps, Spottily and such work seamlessly and no need for external dongle and another sim card or hot spot. The unit is couple years old, Sonic Electronix on youtube has couple good demos of the unit which is what originally sold me on it. Just search for Parrot Asteroid Smart. Unit has all the usual toys like radio tuner, phone app with quick dial favorites (Chinese units do not) and various USB inputs. Can also be connected to market for additional apps if you know your way around Android.
Also comes with head unit install kit with appropriate 997.1 color face plate.

did you notice any increase in sound quality swapping to this? Do you know if works hooking up to an iPhone? Similar to CarPlay?

 

Is it night and day difference? No, because speakers aren't that good. I'm not a big audiofile, but i think sound was still much better than stock unit when it comes to sound quality.
You can connect it to iPhone no problem, i had iPhone 6 for short time and worked fine. I do not know if it has CarPlay, i think it has Android Auto but i don't use those, so can not tell you for sure.
