Stock 997.1 steering wheel with airbag from my 2007 Targa 4. I modified this wheel by adding Mercedes paddle shifters to it. The paddle shifters really add a great experience to manually shifting the Tiptronic. The stock shift buttons also still work as normal. I drove with this setup on my car for a while and then switched to a 991.2 PDK wheel just recently.

These are REAL Mercedes paddle shifters and are attached to the Porsche wheel with threaded screws. They are very secure and solid. For the wiring, I did not cut the factory wires, but rather stripped back the insulation and soldered the paddle shifter wires into them. The wiring harness was then re-wrapped with real german cloth tape and routed back into the stock channels. This was done right by an electronics engineer with great detail.

This steering wheel will likely work well in a Boxster or 996 as well. That would be your call though.

Steering Wheel will be shipped packaged well in bubble wrap to protect it. Shipping will be whatever it costs to ship to you based on online quotes. Local pickup available too, I will help local guys install it in their car.

I have a 997.1 and was looking at the upgrade to paddle shifters. Can you please tell me what AMG paddles work for this upgrade ? I have looked and it seems there is a few options , so if you could please point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
