Wtb scam artist among us.

Carful boys and girls it appears we have a rat on the ship.

Had this guy reach out to me via Email in regards to a WTB add I had posted on here for an aftermarket 996TT bumper

Guy sent me a few pictures if a RUF front bumper and said that he wanted $1800 for it shipped.

I was a bit curious why he would offer it shipped without knowing where I lived but counter offered $1500 to which he accepted.

He said that he would like to be paid via Zell which also made me suspicious as there is NO pay protection on Zell.

I asked if we could do PayPal and I would pay the vender fee but he said he didn’t have PayPal. Hmmmm

I asked him for his Zell info where the bumper would be shipped from and what his 6speed name was

He said bumper was in Illinois his 6speed name is NicholasLEby and gave me a phone number and email for Zell.

Still suspicious of the deal I texted the phon number he provided to verify Zell info. The person who replied to text confirmed that the E mail is hers and the number is hers but that she knows nothing about any Porsche bumper and doesn’t even know anyone who would. Hmmmm

I responded to seller via email to figure out why the person I was sending money to had no knowledge of any of this and try and figure out what was going on.

I told him I wasn’t sending any money until I spoke to him in person.

The seller called me via Google voice and in a foreign accent explained to me that I had ruined the surprise for his sisters Christmas present telling her about the Zell payment but that he would still be willing to send me the bumper if I sent her half the money. Right!!!!

Anyways nothing worse than a scam artist in the car world. Good luck y’all don’t get taken and I’m still looking for a RUF 996TT front bumper.

If you really wanted to serve the 6 speed community you would have contacted any mod or admin and made sure this ******* couldn’t harm any other members. Thread closed!

ps…all members should be wary of low post count members selling expensive crap…there is a reason we don’t allow low post count members to send or receive private messages.
