here's what the frayed area looks like. the cover was frayed from new, the dealership gave me this cover when I purchased my turbo. it hasn't gotten any worse so never bothered to have it repaired. any neighborhood upholstery shop can easlily repair it, or if you have a handy seamtress at home. I didn't have one.
