Bentley GT Cont - warranty 4k a year, need proff advice

Hi All,
Just got a call from my dealer, the Bentley 3 year warranty is expiring, and to extend it gotta pay 4gs a year, 7 for 2 years. Any advice, is it worth it

Your other option is to hold on to the 7gs and just pay for repairs as needed in the next two years that would have been covered under warranty.

btw this extended warranty is not like the original warranty and is not bumper to bumper coverage. I might be wrong.

I dont have enough time with my bentley to tell you if it is worth it or not.

thanks, well i've got it, today was the last day i could before the expiration, turns out it only covers mechanical and electronics. The mechanic told me, its a must if i dont plan to drive it daily, since they tend to have electrical problems if its garaged for too long

nice, at least you have it if you need it. you should send your car in to have them replace anything that can be replaced and is covered by the original warranty :-)

what year is your gt? and what color?

OP. Did you ever use your warranty? I'm in the same position and want to see if the $4k is worth the gamble.

Never heard that before. Was that the dealer's mechanic? And how long was the car not driven before it produces these problems? I'd certainly like to know if it is a common fault since I only drive mine once or twice a week.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about warranties for many other cars, but have now decided they are too few and far between to make a warranty worthwhile.

The clue is that many warranty companies will decline a vehicle if it has a history of problems through use or age, so that tells you straight away. They are just an insurance company after all, and base their business on stats like most insurance companies too.

It's a very nice color combo interior and exterior. You are one lucky man.
