Bentley Cars In Snow
#20
Fantastic - for the SuperSports, I had zero options re sizing and got them a bit skeptical but they are GREAT for the SuperSports. Sticky and not flexy and in ice and snow today were fantastic. Wear well too.

Just put the Sottos on today! Love that its the first storm im using them in! Car is awesome - still a touch shaky under full throttle (i have to be the only lunatic who does that in the snow!!) but awesome none the less! Never really bought snow tires - thought they were all the same but what a difference!!!

Well, another snowstorm and i must say, the Bentley Continental GT with Blizzak LM60 tires feels virtually unstoppable! While other cars were going off the road or driving very slow, the CGT was amazing in grip, speed and the ability to stop with very light brake pedal application. Amazing car!

I don't see why anyone questions the use of or the fact that a Bentley with good tires would be used/decent in the snow. A heavy, AWD car with decent tires is pretty much all you need. Now using a Ferrari in snow...that's got to be in the under 1% group but I'm sure you get more looks than usual. Be safe!

So very true, and i was that 1%, yet with Blizzak WS60 tire (versus LM60 on the Bentley). The real fun was frozen/iced lake driving, though roads were ok. Being a RWD car, the Ferrari did have 'moments' i am sure the Bentley would never encounter due to weight and AWD as you well pointed out.

Compounds on my F cars ensure that I don't go out in the snow - tho both the Scuderia and Fiorano have "snow" traction settings. My DBS is a bit of a stretch because of the tire compounds as well below 30 or so and my Carrera GT useless below 40. Even the 993TT has PS2s so despite the awd, I don't take her out below 30. As a guy who races dedicated track cars, getting tires up to temperature is essential and it would be foolish to go out and try to prove something by driving them well beyond their practical (and theoretical) capabilities.

Mich Pilot Sports 2 tires? If so, they are great for the track during wet/rain conditions. The Pilot Cups good for damp (intermediate) conditions and of course slicks for dry. At least that is my experience. The PS2 for snow, no-way no-how is my experience.

Drove her in this morning in the white stuff - great - haven't washed her in weeks - not sure I will before the thaw. Those Sottos are great - Put a set on my wife's Alpina B7 Xdrive - LOVELY!!
