Perhaps with VAG COM

fencera 06-26-2011 03:29 PM

Per bentleytechinfo, it does appear you do need a service computer to reset those lights... seriously lame.

Cpais 06-27-2011 10:09 AM

I have turned off the TPMS light in Audi's using the vag tool by changing the coding with the VAG tool. I tried with the Bentley but I could not find the code to change it to in order to let the computer know that the car did not have TPMS sensors. I am getting a service manual for the car this week and if it has that coding information in it I will let you know all about it.

Great! thanks!
:)

robbiemac 06-27-2011 01:44 PM

you can disable the system via the info system, I think it's under vehicle, the option is there to turn off or on the TPMS, i had to do that when mine errored, it required a visit to the garage to resolve permanently.

Nit on any GT I've seen

Cpais 06-30-2011 08:47 AM

I've never seen anything like you are talking about either. I have one on the lift right now, where would this thing that you speak of be?

robbiemac 06-30-2011 08:55 AM

ok, I've just this minute checked mine... I've got a 2005 UK spec Continental GT. Start ignition, press Vehicle, then the top left button allows me to turn off the TPMS system.

when I press vehicle the screen defaults to show the car and the 4 pressures, pressing the on/off button (top left) then displays an off for each tire.

Hey Cpais,
You mind telling me where you found a service manual for the car...

Thanks

I got it from someone on here, they advertised it and I PM'd them and they sent it to me. It's a pain in the ass though because it is sent on a disc and, in order to use the disc, I need to reset the date on my computer and that messes up a bunch of other things on my computer so it was not really worth it.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll have to keep looking...
Does anyone else know where to get the factory service manual?

im still trying to figure out how to disable the system but no luck... anyone else?

stevenrmusic 09-08-2011 12:19 PM

Did you try VAG COM?

ExoticCarDriver 03-13-2012 11:21 AM

Did anyone find a way to disable TPMS in the Bentley GT?

bentley996 03-15-2012 04:09 AM

i have a 2005 model gt when i got it i found the tpms light was on, i own a workshop that has a vag com, i got my guys to try to disable it but they found it wasnt possible unless you switch it of in the car, and put up with the warning light with the cross through. found mine had no senders in the wheels - had a lot of trouble locating the correct ones 4D0907275 up to 2005 - 4F0907275 2006 on - with the right senders the system self learns. It seems the 4F will not work on earlier models.

After a long research, I finally figured it out. hilarious
PM me if anyone needs to disable the TPMS system and to get rid of the light on the dash!

For '05 Conti GT, what is "new specified pressure" when you change all 4 tires and TPMs? Is one "free" to deviate from 3 pressure ranges in Owners Manual (Pg 12-2)? Or may you choose your own personal "new specified pressure" (COLD) and enter them via "Vehicle" display page on In-car "Info" screen???

Thanks for the TPMS info!

silvertonesx24 02-23-2021 08:16 PM

I had TMPS, flat tire lighting. No signal on the left front tire. I checked the pressure...oops, 22psi. Fronts call for 49psi. No more TPMS light.

Went into number 19 on the scan tool and retype the 0000006 number again but nothing. No change tire warning light still there.the light came back after i replaced both batteries.dont know if i have to go into the number 7 canbus and change a code there to something like adding a 1 third diget from the right that i read in another form.or maybe sticking the fuse back in and out trying to go back into the 19 again and doing the 0000006 again

did you change the actual TPMS?

Omercop2 02-24-2021 08:15 PM

No when i bought the o5 bentley gt it had aftermarket rims and the fuse was missing from the rear so i knew they had done that procedure.but when i changed both batteries the light came back on .so i tried the recoding 0000006 but it dint work .wondering if i should put the fuse back in and back out and try the procedure

Yes put the fuse back and re do the whole process.
Changing the batt , ie disconnecting it , is the equivalent of a hard reset of the TPMS ECU .
You have to re fool it once more .

Series 2 Continental GT (2012) TPMS "bUG"

Hi folks, I appear to have found a really odd TPMS "Bug". The symptoms were as follows - one day it works, next day it works intermittently, the next day it doesnt work at all, next day - working - repeat, mix, repeat. Killer annoying.

I tried everything - trust me. Even tried a replacement (loaner TPMS ECU from the same year car) no improvement.

THEN

looking into ANOTHER media-orientated bug - ie. the radio cuts out and "Bluetooth Audio" is shown on the media screen (very annoying) happens intermittent/frequently - I disabled the media option "Bluetooth Auto-play" - and that fixed both the media bug, no more radio cutout and instantly the TPMS came back to life and reported all 4 tire pressures correctly and the error light on the dash went off!!! Much joy!

I have put everything back to as it was and the "fault" comes back again - and then disabled the setting and voila, all good again! So, for whatever reason, I am satisfied that I have found the "cause" of the TPMS error. Bluetooth should not (at 2.45 Ghz) interfeer with US TPMS at 3.15 or UK TPMS at 4.33 - BUT - somehow the two are linked OR its just a bug in the Bentley head unit s/w (which I'm more inclined to believe). I hope this may help some owners struggling to fix this pesky TPMS issue.

In closing, I have checked with another Series 2 owner 2011, and this fixed his TPMS error that has plagued him for years.....

CatmanV2 07-13-2021 11:55 AM

I'd be going with a FW bug as well! Well done!
