My 3rd tailightwent out on my gt.. The dealership gave me a quote to replace it for 1600 plus tax.

if you mean the light at the top of the rear window, then I'm sure that price is about right, in the UK a bentley dealership will replace the rear window too.

is it the full light that's out or just some of the LED's, if it's the full light have to checked all the obvious things like fuses and connectors?

might be worth taking it to a good auto electrician before spending 1500.

If they replace it or take it out, make sure the seal is good on replacement. There have been some water and subsequent electrical issues with the 3rd light on the earlier models.

Farm, that is a known defect, see if factory will help out on the costs. They do not need to remove rear window during R/R, as the complete assembly is replaced. The replacement will have a better seal on the lights so no water that causes the problem happens again.
