I was leaving my local supermarket today and got into my car tried to turn on the ignition as I normally would, however the engine won't start it has no crank. I thought it was the battery but power are on, all lights are on, power everything windows, locks etc...but when you turn the ignition all the way the engine does not respond, any ideas? Mine is 05 continental GT. Never had this issue before.

 

do you get any clicking sound? if so, it's probably the battery. lights don't always mean battery has enough juice to start. if the battery is over 4 years old, it's likely the culprit.

if you don't hear any sound, could be the starter or on rare occasions, ignition module (doubt it)
