My GT so far
My GT so far
It has been a bit over 2 months since I recieved my 05 Cypress Green GT, it was purchased by CNC motors in LA and shipped to Florida. It had
26.5 k miles and cost $72k
The prepurchase inspection found bad main battery, tire pressure sensors and broken dipstick. CNC paid $912 to replace the TPS and $383 for the dipstick replacement and installed a new main battery.
I had daytime running lights programmed in $150 and the phone cradle in the left armrest removed and replaced with a storage space. $267 That leaves the privacy handset in the right. Does anyone know of a use for this?
I had a Fabspeed exaust from manifold to muffler installeI bought 2013 BMW nav CD,s I also bought the Phaeton firmware upgrade. Unfortunatley inserting it in the Nav drive does nothing, perhaps upgrading is more complex. Apart from that I have been trreating the leather with Leatherique.
I love the car EXCEPT for the "accept" button It is very irritating to have to press that button before I can even change radio presets. Perhaps there is someway to program it with the European version which I am sure doesn't have this.

Perhaps I dwelled too much on the technical issues. I love this car it is beautiful, it reminds me of one of my favorite cars the Lancia Aurelia Coupe. The feel and power is awesome. It replaced a 1991 BMW M5 Touring, but for medical reasons I need an automatic. This is a keeper.
Can you not change the radio stations via steering wheel controls? Cant recall at this time if you need to press the jewel wheel to confirm.
I have storage compartment on the LHS armrest. Not that is allows much to be stored but handy for loose change, pens or keys.
The privacy handset if the battery is still good allows to you talk privately without pax hearing your conversation when using your in-car speaker phone.

I'm not real tech savvy and don't even fool with all the stuff in the wife's A7. My center console area if for my old man reading glasses, now those I can not live without.
Glad to see that you are pleased overall with the car.
I wanted an automatic transmission so I could easy glide down the road and not spill my burger and fries. Interesting how many of the dedicated sports cars are going to the paddle shifters for safely and performance.
