Collected the GT Speed last yesterday
So I got my VAS 5054A and found the issue. LH Parking brake Hall sensor failure with slow action motor.
Bentley Glasgow picked up car fixed fault and deliver car back next day with new sensor and actuation motor. cost £379 including labour and 20%Vat.
I cleared a few old outstanding issues caused by a flat battery 10k miles ago while I was at it. I also found an intermittent Terminal 30 defect which Bentley also put right for free and I found the steering angle sensor required a full calibration as it was in an estimated state, they did a full calibration for free as well . Well done Bentley Glasgow.

How much did this vas cost you
I got a rosstech vcds but it's confusing to use , how is the vas
Where did you get it from?
I'm used to the Porsche PST2 machine and to be honest the VAS5054a is from another planet. Its so much more than the PST2 which is a Porsche dealer tool.
I'm still getting used to the VAS , the irony is that to use it properly and run through the diagnostic functions you need to have a fault on the car.
So getting experience of use can take a long time for a private car owner as you don't get to use the "Guided Diagnostic function" part of the system very often....thankfully..
Diagnostic Fault readout is simple and breaks down the fault to its individual component. I wouldn't call it fault code readout as it actually tells you all about the fault and how to test the component. The actual code is irrelevant tbh.
for eg, the diagnostic scan showed I had an intermittent fault on the l/h side front treble speaker. It then took you through a tone test where a tone of ( 1khz for eg) is injected into every car speaker one at a time so you can actually hear every speaker work individually. You can also check the quality of each speaker doing this as well. I have an intermitted - return open cct. So looks like the spade might have come off the speaker terminal ??
