04-05 GT w/ 32-45K miles... anything to look for?
SubscribeLooking to pick one up as a weekend car. Have always loved the body style and elegance they have.
Anyways, just started to look and figure this is the best place to get any insiders knowledge.
What is approx cost per year for maintenance? Is it 1 service a year? I have Paul Miller Porsche Bentley about 30 minutes from my house in Northern NJ.
Is there anything that should be done already service wise for a 9 year old car to check for?
Does anyone have a warranty on their 04-05 at the moment? Not sure if any options are left out there... but from what I read this engine is BEYOND reliable... just scares me when you think what repair costs COULD be.
Thanks all,
Happy weekend!

Can't answer your questions but can tell you I just bought a Bentley last Friday and it's the smoothest drive of any car I've owned. Enjoy!
Mike, we really have covered this many, many times so you might want to use the SEARCH function. Just make sure the service book is up to date as am sure other bits have already been dealt with. As for yearly service costs your NJ dealer can e-mail you the details as it varies. These are indeed great cars summer, fall and in winter snow

i bought an 04 a year and 1/2 ago.so far i had the headliner re glued ,fixed third brake light , and replaced front struts. these are expected issues, i use a trickle charger if car will not be driven for over a week. it's a beautiful, hand crafted GT with a good sound. buy it!
Front air struts
Water in the ecu area wires corroding
O2 sensors
Egt sensors
Sag headliner
Front suspension, upper arms, swaybar links
Bent wheels
Brakes needing service soon
Tires, look at the wear if its un even at front usually means worn out suspension items or bad alignment
And common sense and a good mechanic beside the dealer

Yup, misfires were bad/defective coils from a now-old batch and the third/center brake light is a know problem in the early cars. bentley solved it all by mid 2006 or so with the brake light, whilst the coils should LONG AGO have already been replaced due to normal service interval at 40k miles/4 years.
