2005 Bentley continental changing starter?

Anybody know where the starter is located and how to get it out? I heard that i have to take the engine and tranmission out but someone else said that there's a way to bypass that. Any thoughts?

Really. How hard is it removing the engine and how long does it take? I'm probably going to do it myself.

you remove engine and trans together, take front bumper off, coolant pack, exhausts and drive shaft and disconnect everything. I've done it numerous times so i think its pretty easy. you will need a hoist and preferably a table to rest engine assembly on.i should think doing it on your own ,first time will take 2-3 days.

Are there any special tools needed?

Its a shame that the engine has to come out is there a way to only take the transmission out and change the starter? or there is no way?

no,the engine and trans have to come out as one unit, once you have done it you will see it is not as bad as you think.once the bumper and all the radiators are removed as one unit you will have a clearer picture, buy the disc with workshop manual and that walks you through it.

Hello @vimal chand ,
I missed this post, if you are still around, please let us know how you made out

I am thinking from an INDY, the cost to be $3500-$4500.

Johnny
