I would love to have one of those. The engine is a little small if i had to pick at it.

Hope the OP gets his fob. I hate to see the experience of Bentley ownership marred by these little inconveniences.

Called Ft Lauderdale Bentley dealer and spoke to service rep who said they cannot reprogram computer to recognize another Bentley's fob. You have to buy a new one from parts department, where they transferred me, then pay one hour's worth of time, at 169, to program the new fob to the computer. Sounded incorrect to me, but I let it be. Will talk next with service manager whom I know.

Fob versus key

Somewhat moot after my afternoon call with service, but after rereading this post I thought I make the following comment: A key is one thing and another is the opening of the doors and the recognition by the car's computer of the fob to allow you to open the car and start the engine. There are fobs for sale in eBay that have blank keys which have to be cut to your car (after proving ownership and so on and so forth). I will follow with service manager tomorrow if I can.

Final observation, and it must be my ignorance, but what do you mean by "re-flashed". Thks.
