Ski hatch fallen off
Ski hatch fallen off
Ever since i got my 2004 Bentley a couple of years ago, the Ski Hatch has been disconnected and just sitting in the boot.
I had a look at it and cant really see how it is supposed to mount back up.
.
Does the bottom of the ski hatch stick to the carpet at tne bottom ?
Thanks

I have a 2013 with a ski hatch. In my car the hatch is not connected at the "hinge" point; the hatch rotates forward and off. I initially thought is was like an armrest that, when folded to the down position, allowed through passage into the "boot". I now know that it is just a removable hatch and not a fold down armrest also. I can't visualize the lower articulating point at the moment but when my wife gets home this eve I'll be happy to look at it and give you some details. I don't know for certain if it is the same as a 2004 but it probably is.

on the 04MY the ski hatch lock part used to snap off so it may have been removed for that reason,to fix you have to buy the whole panel and involves a lot to install. look at your ski hatch and see if the lock tab is there.
Thanks for the replies.
Still cant really work out the problem so i have attached a photo.
It appears the hatch cover sits too low so the catch at the top doesnt quite reach the slot to hold it up.

Also , what is this leather flap supposed to do ? It just sits in mid air, and doesnt look correct.

Thanks

thats the problem i am talking about, the catch has broken or warped and won't hold the hatch up.the leather strap should be looped and when the hatch is down you can reach through and pull the panel up to latch it.
