Loose bolt on driver's boot lid support bracket

I have a loose bolt on the driver's side boot lid support bracket. It is the bracket that mounts the assist gas-lifts and the motor drive unit. It is a button head torx socket bolt and it appears that the backing nut (or whatever the bolt threads into) is absent. When I attempt to torque it down it just spins freely. I removed the battery/fuse box access panel, removed the fuse panel and found that the drive motor obscures my view of the area that backs the bolt in question. Nor could I get my grubby little fingers in there blindly. I decided not to remove the drive motor as I don't have a service manual and I was also without help. This is a 2013 model so yes...it is in warranty. The problem is that the closest dealer to my location is 3.5 hrs away and I could not get an answer from the service tech as to whether this is a single day job or an overnighter. I have the possibility of getting it in on a Friday am and spending the night at the opera (Rigoletto....Verdi is my favorite composer) but if I can't ge the vehicle back the same day it means I drive a rental back to Louisiana and return the next Friday for pickup. Soooo...to make a short story long......I am hoping that someone with experience in that area of the vehicle may know what the problem is and give their opinion of the time involved for the possible fixes. I know it is a shot in the dark but you have to put a line in the water to catch a fish. Bentley Tech...you got your ears on good buddy (must be spoken with a Jerry Reed accent)???

Cheers, Robin

Hi Robin,
What year is your Bentley? Attached is a diagram of the assembly. I have the IETIS service manuals and can provide further instruction once I know your year and model.

Thanks PMS,

It is a 2013 V-8. A diagram of the driver's side mounting area for the boot lid closure motor would likely give me an idea of the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Robin

My manuals do not cover 2013. However, I am providing instructions and diagrams for the older models. If this diagram looks close to what you need, PM me and I'll provide you with all the details I have available.
