Bye

A month ago I sold my 2012 CGT. I don't go anywhere much nowadays and it seemed an expensive option for going a mile or two to the supermarket, so quitting this and keeping the more practical SL500 seemed to be the best alternative.

I'm still dropping back here from time to time because once a Bentley owner, always a Bentley owner, in spirit at least. And I enjoyed the friendship and knowledge I gained.

So thanks guys. A lot of fun.

Thank for your thoughts guys. I haven't entirely left the ranks of British exotics... next on my list is a near-new DB9 and I'm scouting round for a good one now to replace my SL. Business is getting very busy for me and having only one personal car is making quite a difference timewise with less polishing and maintenance to do.

Mainly Meguiar's for polish, tires, interior, and Mother's Showtime instant detailer after wash.

Does anyone know how many cows are in the GT interior? I spent hours applying leatherique to every section of leather I could find but worth the effort.

Around 6 to 8 as I recall. The GT has an immense amount of leather in her.

The later models have less problems, but of course they'll be hard pushed to match the B for bulletproof mechanicals and electrics.

A DB9 would be a great choice. My Vanquish S is in the shop and was given a brand new DB9 volante as a loaner. I love it, and I'm sure it would make for a good replacement to the B.

Do you miss it yet? I sold my CGT a few months ago and went back to the F Car. I miss the B car in many ways, my F430 is a very limited Sunday vehicle vs. my B car I drove almost everywhere in true comfort. I even went to the dealer in the desert this weekend and looked around at all the new Bentleys in the lot. Let me know when you return back to the brand, I might join you.....
