Bentley Parts / VW Phaeton / Audi
Since we have some great independant guys on this board, what common parts are the same for the Bentley as they are for Audi / VW. Am seeking what price differences there are for the exact same part. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post here. Thanks.

To my knowledge, apart from the aestheticals, almost everything. Certainly everything that is needed for the maintenance-service, when you are using reusable airfilters.
Bolts and washer-things idem. For example the bolts for attachment of the front underskirt and the oilpan.
I also experienced a difference in price between Audi & VW, altough it's the same partn°.

WES77Y.
The rear brake discs that I bought were in a Bentley box but had Audi markes on the discs.
I'm not sure which Audi they are from though. Probably a performance model I would imagine.

For the periodical services, I buy the parts like oil- & pollenfilters direct from the mfu. like Mahle, Knecht,....... For the oilpan-plug, I source from VW.
Oilwise I changed from Mobil1 to Castrol Edge fst Titanium, both 0W40, mainly because I found out MOBYL1 is a hydrocrack rather than a real synthetic oil. In Germany, they lost their case in court and now they advertise it on the botlle as 'synthese technology' insteda of synthetic. Added perk: my wife (and myself) spontanious noticed engine-noise being noticably less (and she didn't know I changed the oil, nor did I have any expectations in that area), and engine seems more eager to respond to throttle. ????? Now I'm sad that I did not do a measurement before/after.... maybe someone els can do this?
What oils are you using...and what are you're findings ?

With reference to my last post, my vacuum pump has given up the ghost and blown the fuse. I suppose it wore itself out when I had the leaking pipe.
My pump part number is 8E0 927 317 A. It has VW Audi markings.
However, I have found a replacement with part number 8E0 927 317 J
The replacement is from an 2011 Audi A8 W12 and it looks identical.
It should be here this week so I just hope it solves the problem.

Here are a couple of photo's of the Audi A8 W12 brake vacuum pump.
The only difference to mine is the letter at the end of the part number.
Cost new is over £300. My used one from Ebay Germany was £64 delivered.
I just hope it does the trick.

Firstly. Sorry for the size of the pictures in my last post. Not sure what I did wrong, but I have an idea.
Anyway, after a couple of hours, the replacement pump is in and running perfectly. Even the electrical connection was identical so it was a breeze to do.
The most fiddly job was removing the inner arch liner. The pump is easy to get to after that. I think I saved a whole lot of money there.
I also noticed whilst doing the work that the upper suspension arm is marked with the 'Audi' symbol. So there is another part that is interchangeable.

Great info and yes, many parts are Audi/VW. Just curious why they seem to be priced lower at the Audi/VW dealer and far higher when at the Bentley dealer. Can you tell us what MSRP is of the part you have via Audi/VW and the price Bentley asks for it? Thanks as all help is always appreciated.
