I am seeking help on behalf of my sister for her 2004 Continental GT.


It has recently come back from main dealer having a service, rear callipers replaced and an electrical fault with the throttle pedal looked at.


Since it has come back it now has a fault where the screen between the two dials was extremely dull, it has now gone out altogether. It is the screen that shows the mileage.


Has anyone come across this fault before? What was the remedy?

Not being rude but if this happened to my car after I took it for service, I'd return it to main dealer to fix. Just my suggestion. Otherwise, please see thread on snowy instrumentation screen. Good luck with repair.

 

I have spoke to main dealer they have suggested trickle charging the car for a few days and see what happens. In the mean time I will look at the thread.

In case you are looking for one. I have a used one in good working condition for sale if interested.

 

Just for info', my main screen often starts dimmer when the car has been stood for a couple of days. Once on the move it brightens up as the battery gets more charge.
