A small 5mph front bump in the 06 GT ran around $12k to fix. The Honda that got tapped was $400 to fix. Been looking at the new B SUV and looks to me like they made it as expensive as possible to fix when you get in a small fender bender as there is virtually zero clearance to the expensive front/rear bits.

Hey guys, aren't you exaggerating!!
I had a ''small'' problem last summer in germany the result was that I had to change the font bumper, the radiator grill, the grill surround, all three chromed grills below, the left headlight and two parking sensors.
my bodyshop ordered all the parts to flying spares , by the way Chris Webster was amazingly helpful, the grand total including VAT and man power was less than 9k€....
if I remember well the new bumper was around 1200£ for the part.

OK. 6 weeks to the day and the car makes it to the body shop
have asked for the parts list V ££££, they say ok.
(given a SL63 AMG to run around in)

Congrats on the fix and odds are one of the front bumper sensors might need attending to during the bumper changeover. Could just be a wire that was not hooked up. Take it back to who fixed it as they should be able to resolve the issue.
