Cost per year drop

As with any car, I research it for the pros and cons. I have come to see that the majority of you are some smart cookies! With that I want to ask, how much more do you see (if any) a price drop in the 07 to 08 CGT's?

It's not a matter of if for me but when I will be buying one. Once my mind is set, I'm on my mission to getting whatever. Just had a house built so I'm getting these credit cards down and paying up on my preset car so I'm not going into a CGT upside-down too bad.
In my area, Midwest, they are running around $65,000-$70,000 for the 07 and $70,000-$85,000 for the 08. I have read somewhere that stated it's around 15% a year.

15% sounds about right after the initial crippling drop the first few years (2015 to 2012). Seems once the brief warranty expires there's a vote of no confidence financially. 2008 is a good choice nowadays as you miss the earlier years teething problems (generally). A late model 07 might be ok yet make sure it had the engine out air hose fix.

I would imagine pre-08 to have a bit of a difference since that was a refresh year for coupes. 2009 also added some tech that 2008 didn't have, I don't think there's much if any differences in the 2010/2011s (I think 2011s were only Supersports and convertibles?). I've been shopping for one myself as a daily driver for a few months now and have a very good idea on pricing.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to comprise a list of problems this car has had over time (unless it's a thread out there like that already) so when I do start my quest I can ask for the info that it was done or use it as a bargaining chip for a better price.

Might want to expand your search a bit from just the Midwest. lot more cars on the coast and because of that lower prices. Shipping is not terrible or fly and drive which is what I would do.

Also if you not as cash constrained there are some fantastic mid length leases on Bentley's that popup every now and then and you will know the drop up front.

I would go 09+ if it was me and really drive the convertible its a very nice car and you can find them ins ome fantastic color combo's. I would have one in the garage right now if I was not out of space.

You just described my purchase. I'm in Chicago and bought 2009 BGT out of California. I wanted a 2009-2010 because it was the refresh years and had the tech updates. Hopefully taking delivery later this week. Only difference is I got the coupe instead.

Thank you, looking forward to it! It's a CPO car that I have covered for 24 months with an extra 12 should I decide.

Congrats Townsend. I can't wait till I'm behind the wheel of my own!

WearyMicrobe......I would love a 09 but I'm only putting down around 10 to 15 grand and trying to keep my payments as low as I can. I'm just a working class steel producer at the big mill out here. I rather keep it under the $700 month note range BUT I hear you on looking outside my area. In the 20+ years I have been buying cars I never brought one from my area, always out of state. But you did jog some old memories from my Navy times in San Diego. Might have to look into Cali and take a trip out there if I find the right one and bring the wife with me since she never been. But that's a maybe seeing she dont know im in the market for THIS particular car and I'm trying to suprise her with it.

Thanks! Got your PM as well, I'll reply with a break down of the deal to give you an idea. At your budget you're looking at a car around $55k which would put you around 2004-2006 at today's prices.

When I get the car I'd be happy to have you by if you want to check it out.

Man that would be GREAT! Would love to!
I trying to see how much the price would drop in 2016 for them.

Now if I can just convince the Hoosier Lottery to let me win a few hundred grand I would move my thoughts to a 09/10+

You need a missus like mine, it was her who talked me into buying my GT. How cool is that?

Good luck with the search.

ExSF....I'm sure if she knew that this is what I was looking to get she would be all for it. She's the one that got me back into riding bikes. Had a Honda F4i when we first met 3 yrs ago...lol now we're looking into Goldwings or Harley's. But this car would put her in awe.

This fourm is addictive! Let me get off for a few hours and go play with the dogs. (two Presa Canario's that lovesss to play alot)

Better Indiana than Illinois lottery, at least if you win you'd get paid

I'll post up specs/pics when I take delivery of mine, after that we can work out a date/time.
