Possible GT purchase

Hello,

I am a prospective buyer. I am looking a for a used Continental GT. Are there any years to avoid, or possible problems to look out for? I am looking for a low mileage car under 30K miles and under $80K. I will be looking to drive the car daily, any tips or advice on this possible purchase?

2008 and afterwards.... avoid the earlier models. Please use the search function and/or read some of the posts here as there are common problems, usually solved at ~$4k or so each.

With Steven who was helpful in my purchase. 08+ was the refresh of the first gen, $80k is doable. FWIW I was $94k on an 09 at 17k with 2yr CPO.

So far loving the car. Only negatives are the graphics (nav/head unit) are dated and the trunk opens/closes slowly!

Stay away from cars with any transmission issues like slow shift from N to D about 5-10 second delay or winding noise its a sigh of bad transfer case it can cost you $10-15K in repairs

I wish you luck in finding the right Bentley for you. I think tha the 2008 GT Speed that I bought is the finest car I have ever seen. They are in a class of their own. Hold out for a low mileage one in a color that you like. Be pickey and wait for the right one to become available.
