windshield washer not working 09 flying spur
Hi all:
I just got a 2009 flying spur but can't seem to get the windshield washers to initiate.
I 'think' i found the switch on the right side stalk on the steering column, but am not sure how to turn it to get them to spray. I've twisted, pulled, etc. but get nothing. Could it be that i haven't found the right switch movement? Or could i be doing it right and simply be out of fluid? Should i get a warning light if i have low fluid? The car's engine is too loud for me to hear the sound of a pump.
Thanks for the help!
Chris

You should get a warning light in the centre between the dials.
Switch on the ignition without the engine running then have a listen for the pump.
My wash is activated by pulling the stalk towards you.
The headlamp wash will only work with the lights on and on every 6th operation if I recall.

Hi.
I have just had a look at my handbook for you.
The way it works is that the screen and headlamp washers are operated by the same stalk as the wipers.
Pulling the stalk towards you will wash the screen for a couple of seconds. If the headlamps are on, the headlamp washers will also work.
If the headlamp washers have not been used for a while, it may take a few activations before water starts to be sprayed.
Forget my advice about every sixth time in my last post, that info related to my Jaguar.
Good luck.
