Going to look at a GTC tomorrow advice please ?

I was looking at Maserati Granturismo/cabrios and had a look inside a GTC and wow had a test drive and was blown away with how special the car felt , made the maser interior look like an old fiat ...
I am looking at one tomorrow with a view to buy if all good :-)
Advice gratefully received ???
I gather weak points are -

Electrical wiring issues in Sill and behind Grill
Irratic tick over
Starter motor/battery
front drop links
Tyre pressure sensors
Brake discs discs/pads

Any other concerns I should look for car is a 2007 42k miles and 8 service stamps Bentley /specialist so sounds promising :-)

Carl

I am in the UK is this the best forum or any other recommendations ?

Check to see if they did the false air / hose fix atop the transmission ($3500) and the convertible top is known to have the rear window become unglued. Especially in places with high heat (FL, AZ, etc).

Also check the top for pinholes by the rear third 'bend /elbow' and how the top folds down, as the top has bits that break and thus the top does not close smoothly / properly and rubs the body of the car as it goes into the 'boot' storage.

I would also check to see if the front struts have been changed out as it would be about time and that is about 4K at an independent shop.

Hi Carl.

You seem to have good info on what to look for so good luck.
As for forums, yes, this is the best one. There's not much activity on the UK Rolls/Bentley forum re Conti' GT's.

There are plenty for sale in the UK so choose wisely.

Regards. Les.
