Bentley or Lexus?

After purchasing my 2005 Lexus LS430 two years ago I've been interested in ride and comfort.
I watched a youtube video about the quality of Bentleys and started checking out prices of used Bentleys.
If I was interested in the four door Bentleys and don't want to spend more than $50,000 which would be the best year and model?
How easy are Bentleys to maintenance if I usually do my own work?
How high is auto insurance on used Bentleys?

....Probably a good idea for you to look over old posts here on this forum...the question has come up many times with many answers...by reading others experience you can judge for yourself...buying an old Bentley is like playing Roulette...pay your money...take your chance...JimB

Yes, this has been discussed and remember to be ready for a $5000 repair. There are reasons why Bentley cars are 'cheap' to buy. Am sooo happy i got rid of the 2007 GTC two weeks ago and decided a sporty BMW was a far value and better choice. My parents have a Lexus and it is nice and reliable too. If you get the Bentley, simply keep $10,000 at the ready at all times for typical repairs and service.

Simples. Bentley unless you can't afford one then get a BMW 7 series of Merc S class.

if concerned with maintenance cost my advise is dont buy a bentley.the car is,in my opinion, beautiful(the gt),with a great engine sound, quality interior materials and workmanship on the inside, exclusive and has plenty of power.

Why not buy a new Lexus? The ride is just about as smooth as any production car. All the bells and whistles and no worries about expensive repairs. I love mine. Buy a toy for weekends with money you will save on repairs.

Echo what others have said.

The car is extremely difficult to work, costly to service and repair.

Common failures are suspension ($3000) and vacuum leak ($6000).

Minor repairs are in $1000 range.

Parts are 3x more expensive than Lexus.

Insurance is comparable to normal cars.

It is a nice bling car if you can live by these flaws.

Of you can buy Bentley extended warranty for $4k/year or $10K for 3 years and have peace of mind.
