Exhaust sound !

i need the exhaust louder and my exhaust shop recommends taking the mufflers out and leaving the middle part of the exhaust flex bellows and cats. What I've read is that to make the cars performance and sound increase you take out the central part of the exhaust and leave the mufflers because they are only pass through evidently . Any help will be appreciated . I want the car very loud and mean that is what I'm going for .

Hi.

Take a look on You Tube. Search for Bentley Continental GT exhaust sounds and you will find various setups. There are some modded ones on there.

Les.

I added a Fabspeed secondary cat bypass and quicksilver Supersports exhaust.

The car sounds menancing now and could feel some HP gain.

Hello Jesup...I have been following your adventure with your 2007 GTC with great interest.
After a year of getting acquainted with a temperamental Bentley you have patiently persisted. I admire your fortitude. Did you ever get down to see Mr. Jason G. the Bentley expert mechanic. Could you please share with us the results from sorting out the various glitches you experienced. Glad things have settled down and great looking car...JimB

Hello Jim,
After reading your exchange with Peter, I think you still do not understand what the problem is, as with this thread and many others, YOU take the thread off topic (OT) so many times, the topic of this thread is "Exhaust sound !" and that is all, unless the OP would like to add to his thread, so please refrain from going off topic, it will help in the long run to keep threads on track, that way in the future searchers will find an on topic thread, and not one that wonders off on the many questions you ask.

Thank you.

Back on topic, when I return later today I will post some information and pictures of the AWE setup I just recently purchased.
