Michelin Pilot 4s
Hello Steven...Went to the BMW rollout of the new 5 series...really wanted to check out the new hybrid Sports model...they previously had 3 in stock that did not sell in last 90 days, then in last 2 weeks they sold all 3, so none were available on floor. They had a very large 4 door, looked like a limo, could have been a 7 Series, around $130,000. I sat in drivers seat, the cockpit is very unimpressive, for instance, a chrome frame around navigation controls, actually looked tacky...of course we are spoiled with the DeLux Bentley interiors that set the standard...I will never consider BMW as long as their corp. philosophy says, eliminate the Oil Dip Stick so customer is forced to dealership...so cynical...JimB
...Steve...forgot...I checked out the Dinan packages that I have heard you mention...looks like high quality stuff...a representative said they range from $25000 to $50,000...just looking at their literature...located in Mogan Hill 70 miles from San Francisco...which set up do you have and is the improvement very noticeable...JimB
Thanks for all the input. Will have the PS4 installed Tom. Never drove the B with perfect tires since I had it. always had 4/32 on one axle, and 8/32 on the other axle. I been enjoying the ride, but the noise is crazy. looking forward to some new rubber.
Just wanted to add my +1 for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S camp.
The Pirelli Rosso EL B1 are no longer available locally. This was the best thing to ever happen and I regret not changing them earlier. 275/40/19 105Y for the PS4S only come in XL so they are perfect for our cars.
Immediately I noticed the much softer ride after 1 city block. The road noise on highway (80-120kmh) was reduced to 30% of what it used to be when running on Pirelli’s. They are new so I’ve not had a chance to really test them but just going around a roundabout spiritedly, the GT feels a lot more confident and direct. Just to note, it’s Sunny 34°C here today with 74%RH so the conditions are good. Won’t be able to give input for cold conditions.
