The Phaeton and W12 Audis are naturally aspirated. The Bentley being a dual Turbo, the engineering of the CV axle and the front unit hub bearing is different. The only way to find a front bearing to press into the hub is to contact S&K, Timken or any of the other bearing manufacturers ( good luck😉 ). Apparently Bentley does not provide a separate bearing part number.

+1. I can vouch on this. While doing my front end I notice the different size from my new axle and old one. I put a micrometer on them and sure as heck the new one was smaller in diameter. After researching on here, I found out that some places will send you an Audi axle. That didn’t sit well with me as it’s a reason Bentley’s are thicker, the twin turbos. Sent the parts back (within a week of getting them, never installed) and Rebuild masters in Florida didn’t want to give me my money back so I had to do a charge back and received All my money back.

One last possibility. Berry Bearing, Bearing Headquarters, was a resource in the past. Their name may have changed over the years. Nonetheless a commercial bearing supplier can measure up the bearing and usually cross reference. This might require pressing out the bad bearing for a more precise measurement.

Found out that SKF is the bearing manufacturer. In order to remove or install the bearing there are two steps each way. First the bearing has to be pressed out of the carrier unit. Then the hub unit has to be pressed out. That was the easy part.

This is probably why they do not sell the bearing separately. The hard part: The the bearing is first pressed into the carrier unit. Now this next step is where ruining the new bearing is possible. The hub is now pressed into the unit assembly i e the i d. Now counterforce or support on the opposing side of the inner race during the pressing. By not doing this the inner bearing race will separate or loosen significantly from the outer race.

The trouble of finding the bearing and then having someone ruin it is risky. Since the assembly is somewhere between 350 and 450 US$ the savings won't be much.

For the record the press to do this job should be at least safe 20-ton beam press. Best with an electric hydraulic ram. The reason being the ability to feather the force.

Wouldn't let anyone do this unless having total confidence in them. I've done this on other cars. The whole process takes about an hour.

Unfortunately no I don't. Would like to know for the same reason.

Find a commercial bearing distributor. Remove the bearing and they can properly measure it and come up with a cross reference. There are companies similar to Fastenal that specialize in bearings. We used Bearing Headquarters in Chicago for miscellaneous equipment repair in our Warehouse. Nobody made a special bearing for Bentley, well we hope not.

This is the SKF number on the hub assembly. SKF precedes the word bar on the file photograph.

Sell BAR-0123 AD Front Wheel Hub Bearing, RFQ Sell BAR-0123 AD Front Wheel Hub Bearing High Quality Suppliers & Exporters at www.tradebearings.com https://www.tradebearings.com/Sell+B...suppliers.html

That probably is but the vendor is sketchy. Tomorrow try calling a bearing distributor that carries SKF product. Pass along the part number. Cross-referencing and research like this is interesting occasionally there is a slight variation that makes the part incompatible.

Wow! Great detective work.

If this ends up being a safe and quality alternative part (or source) for the Crewe bearing assembly.. at that price, I might think about proactively changing out all 4 out 'since I'm in there' doing a brake job.
