And for my next trick!

I'm sure these cars have the personality of a temperamental race horse.

Mine passed it's annual test here in the UK, but before I collected it it decided to have a faulty O2 sensor and the ABS pump unit has failed too.
My Indie said that he had only ever know one ABS unit to fail previously.
Why me?
I'll have a new car at this rate.

Replacement part on it's way from F/S, used but good, plus my Indie says he can do the O2 sensor the easy way. No engine out then.

Hey Les,

Sorry to hear about this new fault.

Bentley is a diva and high maintenance! Definitely many places that could go wrong. Hopefully you can get your baby fixed soon.

The car is in today with the Crewe Indy.
The bad news might be that as the brakes will need bleeding and all of the bleed nipples are seized, I may end up needing new Callipers if the nipples snap off.
At least my Indy is hopeful of getting them out in one piece.

Now I am seriously considering going back to a Jaguar.
I've been looking at the 5.0 S/C XFR and quite like them.

Lets see what tomorrow brings. I think I will ask the Universe for a good outcome!!!

Les.

Ugh, sorry to hear that about the brake bleed. While my ex's 2012 GT seem to be treating her fine, like you i simply gave up after too many problems and parts cost being too steep. The recent trade of the B for a 4 series BMW with Dinan Stage 4 has been loads of fun After 5 years of Bentley (Gt and GTC), kinda forgot how much fun driving a 3.5k lb car with low CG is. You can really DRIVE the BMW however you desire, but hey nothing special there as that's what they're know for and all that. Cheap to mod too, tons of stuff out there.

A skilled specialist should be able to drill out a snapped out nipple and replace. I had this done on my 1979 BMW 635 CSi

All done. The nipples came out with the aid of penetrating oil and the ABS unit is fitted.
No warnings now so hopefully some trouble free motoring.

Steven. We do have another nice car, a chipped and lowered Volvo V70 Turbo, it goes like stink, 400 ft lb of torque and handles like a go kart.
It's a brilliant motor.
Had it for nearly 12 years and barely spent a penny on repairs.
Wish the B was as reliable.

Glad they came out easy enough. Sounds like a nice, and fun, Volvo you got there.
