Replaced front shocks on 09 GTC.... fault code help!!

I got the shocks rebuilt at RMT in Florida, and had my car on stands to swap my suspension and control arms, when it came time to put the car down, I noticed it was no longer in jack mode. I was expecting it to still be in jack mode. So I put it back in and lowered the car, started it up, let it run and slowly let it touch the ground.
When I was done I noticed a shock absorber fault light, though everything functions perfectly.
I assumed the code would disappear after a few miles, I have cycled everything a few times.
Any ideas? I have heard mention of disconnecting the battery, but I am nervous to do that unless somebody smart tells me its ok.
I dont have a code reader yet, but I might need one!
Anybody live in Utah have one?

You have to recalibrate the suspension using VCDS.
