Aftermarket shocks? OE shocks? What to get for a 955 05 Cayenne S?

I'm trying to find ways to "soften" the ride of my Cayenne S. It was my father's lease, and I ended up buying at after his lease was up. I don't remember the Cayenne ever having a soft ride. But compared to my Touareg, the Cayenne feels like it's on coils on the stiffest setting. Have any of you out there changed the shocks at all? If so, did you go back to the stocks or was there an aftermarket solution available? I'm at 80k miles on the CS and want to get this car runnning smoothly.

I wanted to add:

I love the Cayenne. It just seems like a guys car. It grunts and barks. My only issue is that my gas mileage sucks (which sucks for long hauls and roadtrips) and the ride is rough. I normally wouldn't mind a rough ride, but if it's causing the car to creak and make other noises, it begins to bug. I especially get crap from my whole family (they all drive MBZ's and the wifey drives a CLS) and always push me to buying a new car.

I would check to see if the Touareg suspension would work... there are some things from VW that also work on the Porsche. At least then you would know the ride is what you want since you like the Touareg already.

my 05 S had the original z rated 18' bridgestones. i switched to 20' rims and yokohammas and the ride smoothness increased by 50%. Moral of this story - tires can have a big impact on ride quality. check your tires too !

i have new tires installed (275/45/20). it's definitely not a tire issue. i'm taking the cayenne in to get new shocks. hopefully that will be the answer.
