Hello all, I am the new owner of a 27k mile 2008 GT speed, and would like some information about the stock speakers. No matter how hard I search, under Bentley or the Phaeton, I cannot find any information regarding the speakers in the base model stereo. I have the non-Naim system, and I can only count 10 speakers- 2 (1 inch?) tweeters in the A-pillar, 2 (6x9?) woofers in the door, 4 midranges (3 inches?) and 2 (5.25 inch??) woofers at the rear of the door. Can anyone confirm the speaker sizes, and more importantly, the impedance (ohms) or sensitivity (dB)? I am looking to upgrade all the speakers, but just the speakers and not the amps or anything else. Has anyone here swapped out just the speakers for some new units? Also, if anyone has some special tips on taking the rear seat panel off to change the midrange speakers near the seat cushion, please let me know also. Thank you in advance!\
EDIT: Do our cars use the same speaker-mounting rings as the volkswagen, for the round woofer in the door? Can we use the same aftermarket VW speaker wire adapters if it works on a Touareg? Also, I'm doubtful but if anyone knows how much power (W) goes to each channel, that would be great. Sorry for all the questions, just can't find this information anywhere.

Here are some specs for the base non-Naim system, I to have wondered and have asked some members if their 08 and ups had the rear tweeters as the 2004-07 have, it is odd that there are a few different stock base model amps for the GT, my 05 had the 12 speakers with the 12 channel amp, my 06 parts GT had the same, yet I see others with a 2008 with the 8 channel amp with 10 speakers, like Bentley removed the rear tweeters in the GT for 2008 and forward to a point, my 2005 GT that is now part 05, 06, 07,10, and 2014 now has the Naim system 15 channel amp, and head unit, I added the front center channel speaker and 2 subs in the rear, so now a 15 channel surround system, or 13.2 with all the stock speakers for now, but to be honest it way loud and clear with these stock speakers.

Johnny- thank you very much, that information was very helpful! I do not have the tweeters in the rear, just the midrange speakers down near the seat cushion. So that means I have the 8 channel amp? Are the specs the same as the 12 channel info you provided, just without the tweeters? Thank you again for the reply! -Chris
