New 2006 Flying Spur owner with a few quick questions

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and just signed up today. I have loved Bentley's for years and finally found one locally at a good price. It is a 2006 Flying Spur with 44k miles. I am curious if anyone knows how I can set the car up to play music through Bluetooth? On a Maserati I had I needed a plug and play that went where the changer went. On my wife's 2011 GL550 there is a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the AUX input. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Also is there any thing I should look it before I take delivery on Friday? I have had it inspected by a local indie I trust and he did a snap on scan to show all systems were good, the interior and exterior are pretty much mint and the car fax is clean and new matching Pirellis are on the car. I drove the car and it seems solid and I think I have spent about 50 hours reading forum posts and reviews lol.

Thank you for any help!

The good news doesn't have a convertible top and vaccum lines above the transmission.

The bad news, it's a Bentley and something will break, Ha. The air struts sometimes leak worth checking.

The old postings are good reading. There are some adventurous souls that graciously shared their secrets.

Welcome

Thanks for your reply. I thought an 06 did have the vacuum lines behind the engine? Is that not correct? That will be very good if not.

Pretty sure the Spurs are exempt from that problem.

What I meant to say earlier the 06 spur doesn't have vacuum lines above the transmission. They do have vacuum lines behind the steering rack. The benefit is when they need to be replaced one does not need to drop the engine. The Bentley dealer will drop the engine. However, a creative independent shop can do vacuum line repair without dropping the engine.

Thank you for the clarification. Any insight into playing music from a phone?

I'm not as expert as some in this department. Here's what I have. Had to disconnect the CD player in the glove box. This unit has Bluetooth. This will also pair with a cell phone.

I like most ppl here use the Gromm Box. It works excellant but you will lose the cd player. its plug and play bt music and phone, thumb drive. can be controlled with steering wheel or buttons on infotainment. do a search on here for Gromm,

Took about 5 mins to install and works great. I used the metal ends from a file folder to remove the cd changer and it fit perfectly. Thank you very much for your advice!
