Lifting a Bentley GTC

When lifting the car at the suggested jacking points as per owners manual should you remove the plugs located at the jacking points not to destort them and how do you protect the factory undercoating so it does not come off or should you lift the car from another location?
Thanks

Hello Rick its me again, Lol ...
Yah before lifting the vehicle you need to put the car into Jack Mode which is done by pressing the Shock Absorber & Suspension buttons down in the centre console, you will then see a message on screen saying jack mode, when you done do the same again or just drive the car the setting will disengage automatically at 5 miles an hour.

As for using the jack points under the car follow the hand book & locate the jacking points, if you are using a trolly jack then I recommend removing the plugs &
using pads, you can purchase from any auto shop or on-line they are only a few pounds & come in different sizes and shapes.

The type I prefer are these, the support plate is fitted to the underside of the body & the rubber then slots into it with the jack ...

I follow you on the plugs and undercoating. If using floor jacks best to get a flat saddle for the floor jack. The saddle is rubberized on the top and available at most car part stores. Additionally putting a towel or some soft media between everything is a good idea. The plugs are brittle on older MY cars. Using two floor jacks one on each side is gentler on the undercoating. The angulation and weight of the car causes the undercoating to distort when using one jack

The reason we are lifting the car is to install the original polished Mulliner wheels.

Gentlemen
Im a new 2020 Conti GT owner. I have my own shop with lift, equipment, etc and would like to do my own basic maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) as I do with all of my vehicles. Not being experienced with the specifics of this vehicle, Id like to request those that are familiar with the Gen 3 Conti-GT (2020 in my case) if they could provide me some info. Thanks in advance....

There is discussion in this thread and other locations I've seen regarding the process of putting Gen 2 Conti-GTs in jack or lift mode. Is this a requirement of Gen 3 cars and if so, what is the procedure?

I have a 2 post, 4 arm Challenger lift. What are the prescribed lift points for Gen 3 GTs, and are special pads or pucks necessary. My Z06 Corvette requires these, referred to as pucks in the corvette community. If pucks are required as referenced above, where can they be purchased in the US?

What is the specific part number for the OEM V8 oil filter for the 2020 Bentley V8 and where can this item be purchased other than a Bentley dealership?

Thanks for any information / assistance you can provide.

Glenn

A piece of 2x4 about 6" long is what I use on all my jacks. Works perfect.
