Rear view Camera Low Quality

Hello,
does anyone has Issue like me.. my rear view camera is very dark...
is this because of the camera itself or anything else?

2 of my Bentley has the same issue.. because I didn't own the car when it was new so I don't know it is old issue or it was design like that.
Thank you

I have a 2014 FS and the screen overall is dated and lacks the speed of what a 230K car should have. Reverse camera is crappy. 2011 Panamera has a better interface.
The screen and interface in a recently acquired new Tesla is SUPERIOR in every way.

Hello NG ... It's an old system (analogue) there could be a number of issues with it, the camera it self could have dirt or a foggy lens, the infotainment system itself is getting old or both.
You could replace the camera just to see if the image gets any better just by hooking one up, if it does then you can replace it other than mate there is not much one can do.
Maybe someone has done an upgrade on the camera or resolved the issue then lets here from you.
I installed a new camera with the new head unit, that resolved my issue ...

The view on my 2014 Flying Spur is ok, but it takes awhile to come on because it says system starting. Coming on late like that makes it almost useless for backing out of the garage or a parking space. My 2008 GT Speed it comes on instantly. So I guess that the older cars are better.

Hello Gene ... Its not the case of old is gold, its a firmware problem, I've noticed with all age of Bentleys the firmware no matter the age get slow in same vehicles than others, I have no idea why but can only put it down to what's running & stored within the system, Its a bit like using a PC or Laptop they run slow the more one loads up or downloads ...

In NG's case its not running slow, he has a problem with focus which I think is lens dirty or foggy or the camera has had it ...

Hello Sir ... yes one can fit an after market camera ... Tap into the camera loom figure out the AV wires to the Power plus & negative, Let me see if I have a wiring diagram for the rear view camera. If I don't I know a man who will 99.99% have one ... our friend Mr Hotspur ... hey Johnny ...
Unless you can take it apart & clean it out, if the lens is foggy due to scraching then theres not much you can do but to replace the camera, saying that there is a cleaner that can clear a lens, I use it for the front lights as the lens on them go foggy ... I'll take a pic of the product maybe you can find it your end or something similar ...

@Rico.Adams I'm thinking the used one doesn't solve my problem... it is the Camera Lens issue...
I think it will need a new camera...
As I research I found out that the camera use Farka conection for video...
I'm searching online some sell Farka to AV adapter... I hope it will fix my issue ....

There are a few companies on Alibaba who sell these connections, if your into electronics you can tap into the loom on the camera side & install a aftermarket camera.
Yes do let us know how you get on ...
