Flying Spur exterior door handle trim
Flying Spur exterior door handle trim
Anyone here have an issue with the chrome strip on the exterior door handles being loose? Both right side strips are loose at front side of the handle. Very cheap feeling for a Mulliner FS. Car is a 2014MY. Gorilla glue is the last resort - I don't want to pull them off to inspect until I know if there is anything to look for.
Thanks in advance for any input on this.

These strips are replaceable. I had a damaged one on my driver's door. They clip (with a hook) on the leading edge, then a very small screw on the trailing edge. If the hook broke, or the screw has loosened that could be your issue. Here is an example of replacement on Ebay:

Just have to search for the correct year.
I had the same thing happen to my 2007 GT this summer. I had the car out on a somewhat hot day... around 90 degrees... parked the car in the sun in a parking lot while stopping for a bite to eat... a half hour or so came back and both the drivers and passenger "chrome strips" of the handles where "undone"... still attached at the back of the chrome strips but otherwise completely peeled off the handles. I taped them back in-place for the time being... figured on re-glue-ing them back down when I get around to it and can figure out what sort of glue would be likely suitable. I looked pretty close and didn't see anything "broken"... it simply looks like they came unglued.
