It sounds easy going to use the AUX input, thanks Sam ...
Rico, are you talking a firmware update to the Ben HUR? If so its a older style USB plug on the back that says it's just for programing only. Is it possible to use that?
What do you mean old plug, take a pic of the USB lead coming out of the Ben-Hur, this should be in the glovebox or didn't you connect one at installation ... once I complete the firmware programming on the test bench I'll send you a link to update, some you won't need like the volume, you don't use the Ben-Hur for volume ... I hate the small LCD screen its hard enough reading it when stationery got no chance when driving ... What this space ...
I dislike that smaller screen also and called a company called idatalink Maestro that I use in my Escalade to display all that stuff on my Alpine radio. They have no plans on making one for Bentley but they do it for a select few VW’s. Hell I can check tire pressure and even clear the check engine light on my truck and it will show me what the “P” error code is on the radio.

I want the update, but I didn't think to hook up the USB to an external cable (never in a million years thought there would actually be an update), don't really want to take it out, but I wouldn't mind some more volume. Although honestly, I'm ok with what I have, but it could use some oomph.
Interestingly, my 8" sub is the speaker that pops when I get too loud and it's the only speaker that has an independant amp. I don't know if it's the speaker or the amp that pops, but I suspect the amp.

It’s the speaker. The gains may need to come down a hair and/or the crossover on the amp readjusted. Maybe turn the bass on your head unit down a notch or two and see how that sounds. Is the bass boost on on the head unit? You just may have to tweak it to your liking instead of what your shop left it at.
