Having bought some parts I'm wondering what else is needed with the Ben HUR unit I have below. If anyone has fitted this system please can you let me know what else I need to use an aftermarket head unit.
Nothing from the looks of it. Just follow the directions and don’t forget to adjust the dip switches to the appropriate settings for whatever brand of radio your going to use.
Hello UKGT,
I am confused, was not this thread named "BenHur Valuation" and that you had a salvage vehicle that this unit came from, and that you were looking for an amount to sell it for, also you were looking for what else was needed to complete the package for sale.
Here is a link with the install manual showing all the wiring/plugs etc.

🤔
I must have missed that thread. Was it deleted? I assumed he just bought it and had the wiring and wanted to know were there any additional parts he may need.

Thank you for replies, yes my previous post was deleted as it mentioned the v word.im afraid I never read site rules.
So i bought what you see in the pic, my green car was a right off and i did start a rebuild thread but that was also deleted. Your info and links are all i needed to know, i thought there was another box to the ben hur but it appears not. Will any special leads be needed for the new owner?
Off topic, but,
Why would your rebuild thread been deleted ?
I for one would love to see your rebuild !
Johnny
it was removed because it was presented as a “what is it worth” thread. Those have always degenerated into insults, name calling and bad feelings so we just don’t permit the drama. He can of course show his build...he just can’t ask what is it worth. That should have been explained to the op upon removal and I believe it was.

Sorry but but you've got your wires crossed, yes my thread from yesterday was deleted due to the fact I asked what was this Ben HUR unit was worth but the rebuild thread that Jonnny mentions was deleted about six months ago because when I typed certain car part words they appeared in blue and had a strange link that sent you to other sites. The thread was deleted and I was threatened with my account being removed despite the fact I never created the links, it happened to others on this Bentley section.

Ok, I’m puzzled you were threatened when that blue type links is a problem with our software...if it came from me it was before I knew it was a software problem...if that is the case I apologize because it was not your problem it was ours.
Thanks Chuck, this was the first pm I received after my welcome pm.
"If you wish to remain a member of sixspeed you will cease posting links to ebay and other sites in your posts as they have to be removed...please comply...thanks "
Rico, quick question:
Did you time align your speakers with a RTA or from your head unit after you finished the install or did you just adjust everything by ear?
