Just fyi... found this for a whopping 125 from an 04.. Not suggesting you buy it, but it gives a good representation of what the underneath of the foam holding the tools should look like for comparison.

I suspect your spare may have been replaced by the mobility kit from the speed model. The bottom of this tray is rounded and takes up the space where the tire would be.

Perhaps try removing the tool trays and post a photo. I am fairly certain the red spare in the right size (available in 19" or 20" depending on your tires) will fit in that recess.

What it looks like with spare...

And what the speed mobility kit looks like from the back side.

Plenty of spares available on ebay. If you stock wheels are 19s, get the 19 x 4.5 and if 20, then get the 20 x 5

Here's a link to the 19 and there's usually several on ebay...

The speed kit has a compressor, which doesn't (sadly) come with the car with spare. More sad is the fact they skimped on a full size spare.
Here's what my trunk looks like. (This picture is courtesy of Johnny Hotspur GT because my car is getting the bumper replaced).

Yep, the space saver spare should fit in there just fine. Because the spokes are on top, no fitment issues. Giveaway are the indentations for the 5 spokes on top of the housing.

BTW... the foam insert for the tools is linked below and the type I have
. Everything from your kit, except the standard VAG 'kompresser' will fit in there. The compressor itself is pretty neat and tidy with the cords tucked away, and some velcro should hold it in place.

edit... there's also a 2nd foam insert that holds the scissor type jack that has an indent for the pinch weld, along with lug wrench and security lug. Works pretty good from my recent experience. Couldn't find one, but I'm sure they're out there.

edit again... found the other foam, complete with jack and wrench, which goes under the wheel.

I went with this one...

The grills are on back order tho. They should be here in a week and a half.

I actually have a full size spare. I’ll test it out when I get my car back.

Nice, look forward to seeing the finished front end. Is that an 08 bumper?

Btw, I don't think a full sized spare will fit in the recess, only the thinner space savers, as the full size will be too tall.

Yes I think it's an 08 bumper. When I ordered it from that site it indicated it would fit my 06. I wanted the Supersport bumper but had to settle for the Speed one because of 1. Price and 2. The companies that does offer it have such a bad reputation and reviews that I was not willing to take the chance of my money being stolen or getting a sub-par bumper and it cost more to have it fixed or just plain unusable.

Agreed 100% on the 3rd parties. Haven't found a single one with a consistently good rep. unless prices are in the insane category.

ps.. Decided to try my luck with xclusive for the bumper. Made a deal to ship to a NY port and just waiting on completing the payment logistics.

This project has been way to far in arrears (like almost 2 yrs). Finally got off my *** and hope to be done by thanksgiving with new shoes, body panels and paint.

Btw, they have two options for the 03-10 Continentals. The updated supersports look (which I got) and a newer more 'graceful' (their words) option, that is a bit less 'body kit' looking.

Now to find a local body shop that won't give me **** for aftermarket parts purchased by me.

When you get time, post up those two bumpers if you have pictures of them. I know it’s too late for me but others might want to change out in the future.

Here's the 2 bumpers...

For the one I'm ordering, an image sent from xclusive to confirm style.

And the other one.. from their website.

Just an update, the Pilot Sport 4S's are a very nice/sticky tire. Really a big improvement in handling confidence.

A bit chunky on the sidewall, but looks aside, I'm pleased with the set.

And my replacement bumper has been manufactured and shipped on a slow boat, currently at 13kts in the Irish sea. I can literally 'track my shipment' here, lol. https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...012055/zoom:10
