I had the same problem with mine. The dealer adjusted the hinge. Common problem is my understanding. There is a thread here on this also. Older cars had a service bulletin. It seems common to replace the pull down motors and hinges.
Yes, Im aware of the service bulletin and so is the dealer, this didnt effect my year. Unfortunately, my dealer is a two hour drive away and I was hoping to adjust it myself with some help here.
Hello AJ,
I am kind of thinking it is not the boot lid, but the tonneau cover, looking at the trim in the red box, it looks as though it is higher.
Can you post a picture of the opposite side ?

Johnny, I must add that Ive just returned from the dealer who fitted a new boot latch and upon my return home I saw the misalignment and theyre happy to adjust what ever is required. To me it looks like the boot lid rather than the tonneau cover, the gap between the wing and the boot lid is definitely less than the opposing side. The red box youve outlined has always been like that. Ive attached a couple more photos of the opposite side.
I have the same issue but on the other side. The boot lid sits a bit bigger than the tonneau cover. Occasionally the boot will not open. Was told by the dealer that this does happen on GTCs over time and is quite expensive to fix.
I purchased mine 2 weeks ago. 2 days after purchase, the boot latch failed and the dealer agreed to rectify under warranty. 2 weeks later, the part arrived and I returned the car to them for rectification. Now the boot lid is out of wack and the motor is struggling due to misalignment. The dealer is happy for me to return the vehicle again (as it is under their comprehensive warranty) for realignment, however the journey is an issue. I would like to adjust it myself with a little guidance here if at all possible.

Yes, I had also read this just yesterday. Perhaps I ought to just leave it to the dealer to fix. Interestingly, a few people spoke of the adjustment being a 5 minute fix by the dealer. If only someone knew of the procedure.
Bentley at least in my experience according to dealers pays for pickup and delivery between owners and dealers. Ask them to pickup the car it should be free. Ferrari does the same thing. Maserati only does it for pickup not delivery. AM don't know yet, but soon.
For reference I've had dealers out of state pickup / deliebr previous car for $0 for warranty work when local dealer had repeatedly failed to fix a issue.
I would never trust the casual pick up drivers to load and unload the car on and off their trucks. Too many bad experiences of damage to rims and door edges. I'll just drive it back when the time is right if I cant get any help here to adjust it myself.
Hello AJ,
The only adjustment available for the raising or lowering of the boot lid would be the hinge itself, tilting the front bolt up or down, or both down to lower it, as there is no adjustment where the hinge meets the boot lid, except for towards the front and towards the rear.
