Hi All,
when i open the visor and slide open the mirror, the light above should turn on, but it doesn't when wife wants to fix her makeup. any idea? if its a fuse somewhere that needs to be checked? i used different bulbs, it didn't turn on.

Neither side works on mine and it has been that way since we got it. Would love to get on tips on what might be wrong.

Are these other items functioning, such as rear view mirror, garage door remote, or rain and light detection sensor, as it appears that fuse "F5" powers the roof module, which in turn powers the vanity mirrors via pin #9.

I don't understand your response, ofcourse the fuse should be there, but is the fuse blown or not ?

 

fuse is present and it’s not blown. And garage opener works as well.

 

Does the driver's vanity light work ?

 

Neither side works. I’ve even swapped the bulbs to make sure it’s not the bulbs. I thought maybe when you slide open the mirror, the connection is loose somewhere, so I’ve tried to have it angled towards the windshield and passed side side window

 

The next step is to remove either side and check the plug for power.
If both sides have power and the bulbs are all good, that leaves the micro switch in each slider.

 

Seems like there is no power coming from the source to the vizor. Would there be any other fuse responsible for the power.

or do the wires connect to the overhead roof module somehow? Or the connection to it is bad?
