thanks, i think the bulb holder confused me into thinking its one piece. i was able to swap the bulb out for a canbus. Now my car has all the interor LED lights, and also the major pain parking lamp switched to white LED as well.. i love this forum!!
Yorkim 194 Led Bulb Canbus Error Free 3-SMD 2835 Chipsets, T10 Interior Led For Car Dome Map Door Courtesy License Plate Trunk lights with 194 168 W5W 2825 Sockets Pack of 10, White
So I started the change out to L.E.D. and thought I would give a bit of information just in case someone run into what I did. While installing the new light, I mangled one of the connection points (The new one base is a tad bit thicker). So I had to order a new one. Here’s the part number just in case someone needs it. I order it through Audi and got it the next day. (I ordered 2 in case I fubr’ed one of them).
I also changed out the 3 in between the microphones.
Even the license plate lights are nice and bright. They won’t be able to lie and say my lights are out just to pull me over and go on a fishing expedition now!! 🤣🤣

My senior eyes needed this LED bulb upgrade for our '10 Bentley CFSpur as I found the yellowish incandescent bulbs too dim. Thanks to this thread's OP and all the rest who shared, was able to complete the overhead reading lights and trunk. Awaiting my LED bulb order to finish the rear license, interior ceiling and others.
Since I'm **** about avoiding scratches or unnecessary mark's, texted my Bentley mechanic friend on the procedure.
Here are pics of this project to assist other forum members in eliminating the guesswork:
For the overhead console use a small screwdriver
Insert tip between the chrome and plastic lens.
Gently push forward slightly and pry downwards. Chrome ring remains and lens will pop out.
For the two reading lights, pull out the peanut bulb. Here's the LED replacement. Center light uses three 39mm festoon bulbs.
Much brighter and whiter than OEM
Use same tool for boot lights. Pry open as follows
Once exposed pry off black rear cover and peanut bulb appears.
After comparing brightness, had to finish the inner lights. Despite my compact size at 125 lbs., access was still a chore. Had to enter the boot upside down to patiently complete.
The result was worth the effort!
Rear license plate is simple. Remove 2 Philip's screws and with lens removed, it exposes a 39mm festoon bulb. There are 4 bulb housings.
