Hi Johnny
Here are some photos taken of my car headunit screen showing what settings I have my TV module at.
As I mentioned before I have tried all settings and different coding the module but the result is always the same, white picture noise. No picture or sound is coming out.
I have gone through the measuring blocks of the module with the VCDS but could find anything to resemble a glitch.
I know that sound and video is coming in from the module (so the measuring blocks show) but can't scan for stations either analogue or digital.
I know other members of this forum have successfully achieved results and I can only attribute my difficulty to the inadequate software or coding of the headunit. I am wrong? TV screen TV Standart chosen TV Module system info.
Hello @Littlj01 and @sspeeder ,
James,
Would you kindly post some pictures of your TV tuner settings on the infotainment screen, also do you know the format in which your TV stations are broadcast, and the same for you sspeeder, which format are your stations in Portugal ?
I kind of recall someone here or on AW whom had a similar situation, whereas his area had new digital format/coding be it h264 vs. H265, or mpeg this or mpeg that, I can not recall exactly what it was at the moment, but it was that the same digital TV tuner "148" would work in certain areas of Europe and not others.
That is if I am remembering it correctly.
Hi Johnny
Yes, I think you are now steering in the right direction. That could possibly be the case. Why didn't I think of that before?
In Portugal TV is broadcasted with compatibility to the norm DVB-T with video decoder MPEG-4/H.264.
Do you know what is the module "....148" compatible with?
Thanks

Here are the instructions for retrieving the software level on screen.
I am very curious as to the SW level in your head unit, as for you to have the armrest setup like that, meaning your right side armrest with the dial and screen, your head unit should have the proper SW. did that rotary **** and screen work prior to you swapping the BT box?
Just so I repeat it again and it is fully understood, when using the "AT" BT module the privacy phone and the rotary **** / screen along with the SIM card slot become obsolete, and nothing is needed in either armrest for the BT to function as hand free, as shown in my videos on my rebuild thread, now of course one could fit the newer armrest inserts into both for the newer privacy phone in one, ant the SIM card slot in the other, but first you got to have the proper head unit, and remember if you go to far up year wise you will run into CD VS. DVD NAV drive unit, that's why I went all 2010 for the infotainment head unit, DVD NAV drive, and BT module .

It has SW 2270, and your replacment "AT" BT unit would work, BUT, then you would need a DVD NAV drive, and lose the armrest inserts, or upgrade them as I did....

Hello @molphar ,
Here are my pictures with the part number.
Be aware that that you do not need to have anything in either armrest for the "AT" BT module to work as hands-free, I added the newer privacy hand set and it's cradle, along with the newer armrest insert with the SIM card slot, all works as it should, and I really only installed them because I could, but in reality, neither have been used.
I also attached two of my videos, showing the BT working, with and without the armrest inserts.
wow! coool, thank you! I want to have cradle and sim more than simple bluetooth) this will help me to rotrofit. Ive oordered module for 100doll and now i need to find cradle and simcard insert)
And i think will it work with 3w0864209f?
Hi could somebody please help im trying to find out we're the wir ive circled plugs into
Hello @Dean1234 ,
Very sorry for my delayed response.
That is my vehicle you have pictured, that purple plug goes to the rear window antenna, but, I believe that it also matters which year vehicle you have, and the standard vs rSAP phone systems, and where you are in the world, as in a TV tuner installed or not as @molphar stated, during my rebuild I found that same purple plug in the left hand armrest hooked up to the old Nokia phone cradle, so, in the 05 I had the Nokia phone cradle and the standard (no antenna hookup) smaller phone control module in the trunk, this wire ran from the cradle to the read window antenna with a plug connector somewhere around the interior right side panel, or under the interior rear deck panel, I can not recall at this moment where that connection point is, this wiring was to the vehicle antenna for the Nokia mobile phone while in the cradle, and also because of the infrared glass, in my 06 parts vehicle I had the dial and screen in the left hand armrest (no antenna wire used, eventhough it was in the harness) and the larger BT module in the trunk with a antenna connection, I had to make the connection, I recall removing the side and or deck trim panels to find that plug, as I must have missed it while installing the complete vehicle harness, it was the only piece I forgot to get to the trunk...
So, tell us where you are, and which year vehicle, and what system you have right now, and if you switched out the BT module, what is the issue ?
In my video I show the AT BT module working with both armrests completely unplugged, not in the video though, I am almost certain that I tested the cellphone without that wire/plug connected, and the cell made calls, but the sim in the 2010 armrest needed that plugged in, I am not 100% on that, it's been a few years.
