2018 Headlights fogging up

I have a Continental GT 2019 and occasionally the headlights fog up, particularly after heavy rain. I spoke to the dealer and they said that if the fog clears quickly then that is normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

thanks in advance.

Not sure if they are the same as the 2005, but I have had no problems with any fog or water in the headlights for the past month I have owned the car, and have driven in the rain a few times. Maybe one of the lids were not put on properly and there is a bit of condensation happening.

Never on a 2016. I'd say contact a different dealer. Warranty work has a lower reimbursement so many dealers Don't want to do it.

I would just demand they change both lights. Since they want to be butts about it under warranty. Tell that’s that’s not normal and no other Bentley you know from any other year does this (you wouldn’t be lying, the ppl on here told you theirs doesn’t do it).

Dealer is 100% correct! It is all due to barometric pressure and temperature...If the headlights are warmer then the out side air for example condensation can happen. If the dealer has checked the lights out for proper venting and that the "bulb" is secure in the gasket properly... As long as the lights dry out in about 1 hour in direct sunlight..no damage will occur and there is nothing that can be done. Do both lights fog up equally? My Company LEAKPRO has been fixing lights for 20+ years...the new LED technology has eliminated most headlight leaks.

I went back to the dealer and John is correct. Bentley have a document that explains the same. And yes, both headlights fog at the same time, only when going from warm to cold, and only for about 20 mins.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Glad to hear that I am not going crazy...Most OEM's now have a "policy" dealing with this condensation...Don't worry about it, no damage can occur. You have logged the complaint with your dealer so if there ever is a problem, you will have recourse!
