Early W12 and carbon build up?

Anyone know if the 1st gen W12 engines suffer from intake valve carbon buildup like the other early VAG direct injection VR6 derivatives do?

Just curious, as I recently did a walnut blast while I was dong a PCV diaphragm repair on my old Q7 to great results.
